Each piece is printed directly onto artist matte canvas material using high-quality archival inks. Canvas Prints are hand-stretched around 1.5” artist stretcher bars and come ready with a wire hanger on the back.

THE STORY
The Understory Collection was inspired by the idea that living in harmony with the seasons brings our lives into balance. In Summer, just like mother earth, we are in full bloom; abundant and vivacious, ready to follow our passions, fall in love, or birth a new creation into the world. These stunning flowering sumacs evoke the blossoming energy of Summer.
Summer Sumacs was inspired by a Summertime nature walk in Minnesota when the fields of sumacs dazzled my eyes. I was enthralled by the way the leaves reached out in all directions at once creating a beautiful web of light and shadow, while coned flowers bloomed bright red against the dark green leaves. I could feel the energy of the sumacs growing, expanding and blooming, becoming more beautiful each moment.
