THE STORY
This piece is a love letter to myself. In this season of life, I have been learning how to embrace my shadows. Befriending my fears and insecurities has helped me to understand them and myself on a deeper level. Yes, it can be scary and dark to look at your shadows, but I believe it is the dramatic contrast between the shadows and the light that allows you to shine all that much brighter.
We all hold opposites within us. We are scared and we do the thing anyways. We don't see the path in front of us but we still take the first step. We feel inadequate yet we keep living our life to the fullest. We are wired for fear, to keep us safe and alive, but we are also wired for love and connection.
Embracing the Shadows is a reminder of all of these things. From my heart to yours, I hope you receive it with the love I created it with and that its meaning resonates with you in a small or big way.
