I have been fortunate enough to witness Emmalyn’s artistic journey since her teenage years, and I am proud to own three of her remarkable pieces. Each one holds a special place in my heart, but the portrait of my father is the most significant to me.

After my father passed away and my mother moved in with me a couple of years later, I knew that her space would need something special. I immediately thought of Em! When I first commissioned Emmalyn to create a portrait of my dad, she made the entire process seamless. From helping me pick out the perfect photograph, to crafting a beautiful custom frame for the artwork-she even included a lovely smaller painting of the beautiful place in the mountains where we laid my dad to rest.

The result of the portrait of my dad was breathtaking! It truly captured my dad, with a twinkle in his eye, brought to life! Emmalyn’s ability to put the true essence of my dad on that canvas is a remarkable gift. Needless to say my Mom loved it and felt my dad through this beautiful gift. Every time I look at it, I am brought back to the memory of my dad at that moment.
