An original painting is the most unique creation I have to offer. My oil paintings reflect decades of dedicated practice in my craft, each one a one-of-a-kind piece that will distinguish you as a discerning collector and patron of fine art. These botanical pieces, in particular, represent my evolution as a classically trained painter—bringing the skills I’ve honed painting the human figure into my renderings of nature. These paintings are created from my peak artistic experience and represent my highest work.
PAINTING PROCESS
Every painting is born from time spent in nature. I spend time with the plants, sit with them, photograph them, and then begin painting them. My paintings are always started out in nature, before I bring them back to my studio to finish creating them.
IN THE STUDIO
My painting process is meditative and quiet. I fall into it like it’s a cozy blanket. Long hours with only my canvas and brushes for company melt away as I lose myself (and find myself again) in the creation process.
