This piece was born during a season of deep healing and softening. For years, I resisted the color pink, associating it with weakness, girlishness, and everything I thought I had to shed to be taken seriously. But when I finally allowed myself to embrace my softness, my femininity, and the little girl inside me, pink came rushing back into my life. Painting this peony was part of that process. It’s a tender symbol of the strength that lives inside softness, the freedom of reclaiming joy, and the healing that happens when we stop hardening ourselves to survive and instead choose to bloom.
